80 questions and nothing changed
The key players in this project started developing Pulse while they were working for Swisscom. At that time, an employee survey was in place that asked employees about every detail that could potentially affect their satisfaction and engagement. The result was a very long questionnaire and the survey caused quite a bit of frustration. Many questions, little effect.
So much frustration and waste did not seem appropriate. So we asked: “What if there were a tool that makes it easier for everyone in the company to do a good job?” We were not able to find such a tool—that is why we started to develop Pulse.
