How to present in an effective and engaging way the work you do and the value it creates.

What it covers

In your company or individual teams, you work in an agile way, such as the Scaled Agile Framework (SAFe). This means that you regularly do Inspect & Adapt sessions, in which recently completed work is presented to a larger audience of colleagues and stakeholders. The goal of such Inspect & Adapt sessions is to learn from each other and get inspired – yet often endless series of not-so-well-structured slides full of technical details are presented.

In order to help the audience really benefit from such presentations, your team will get to know the Demo Booster Canvas, a valuable way to structure your content and transfer it into a good storyline. In addition to many interactive exercises, holding presentations will be practiced in the training. Finally, participants also get help on how to reduce the effort needed to prepare a presentation.

The training is not limited to Inspect & Adapt presentations, it will also help to improve and simplify other types of presentations.

This course is for your team if you or some of your colleagues have difficulty giving inspirational, informative and effective presentations to large audiences — especially when time is short.

Course structure

The training is divided into two sessions, which helps you to apply inputs from the training in your daily work. We encourage teams joining the training to work on a real topic so that we can build and test an upcoming presentation during the training.

After delving into the the whys and wherefores of your work, we will use an open structure that helps you gather information during your work in order to later build a clear storyline for your specific audience. We do test runs of presentation-prototypes so you can receive immediate feedback from colleagues and presentation experts.

In a recommended, yet optional third session you can do a complete run-through of your final presentation, in order to complete it with feedback and practice presenting once more.
