Sparking inspiration
Among stands with high-tech set ups and interactive games, the Creaholic booth stood out with its original cardboard backdrop. It was a talking point throughout the day. Swiss Innovation Forum participants visited not only to take a photobox picture in our “exploding box”, but also to talk to Creaholicers about the state of innovation today. “Think outside the box”, “get creative” and “find inspiration” were our themes for this year’s innovation forum.
Working together to overcome Start-up hurdles
Participants of the Swiss Innovation Forum could choose from various challenges, one of which was led by a Creaholic duo in collaboration with Innosuisse.
Tinu Anders and Claudia Leu from Creaholic led the challenge with Bearmind, a start-up revolutionising helmet design to better protect hockey players on and off the ice. In just one hour, Tinu and Claudia guided 70 individuals to create 10 different prototypes that Bearmind could act on. The session began with brainstorming headlines Bearmind’s new innovations would make. The room began buzzing with interactive energy as soon as the innovators could roll up their sleeves and start building prototypes using arts and crafts material. In the end, André Clerc from Bearmind and Annalise Eggimann from Innosuisse voted on their favourite spin-offs.
The winners are…
A regular highlight of the Swiss Innovation Forum is the ceremony for the Swiss Technology Awards. Not only does Creaholic have history with the Swiss Technology Award because of our winning spin-off, WoodWelding, in 2006; but also because Creaholicers Mario Tronza and Andrew Hirnak are responsible for the design of the physical award. The design of the Swiss Technology Award reflects exactly what the trophy stands for: innovation and iteration.
